My Golden Fantasy Race Sculpt

This sculpt was part of an unfinished project inspired by Hesiod’s version of man’s creation, where Zeus created succeeding races of men… Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron (the iron race being the race of man)

The project was to create a fantasy based version of each of these races (excluding the iron race) that could possibly be used in epic fantasy stories to replace the mainstream fantasy races (Elves, dwarves, orcs/goblins,)

This is a bust of the Golden race I invented (Male), meant to replace the Elven race. According to Hesiod, the gold race lived in paradise, with no explanation for their extinction or disappearance.

Harpies: Greek mythology, Kappa: Japanese mythology, Beauty, Regal, weird ears, slight alien look, theory that golden race that Hesiod describes abandoned earth and ultimately decided to live forever amongst the gods above the clouds (explaining their disappearance), Japanese design, beauty and religious connotations of elongated earlobes
